Robin Tuohy, Senior Director of Support Groups for the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) will speak at the quarterly meeting of the Chesapeake Multiple Myeloma Network (CMMN) on Saturday, November 1, at 4:00 PM. Her talk, “The IMF and Meeting the Needs of the Multiple Myeloma Community” is free and open to the public. The meeting will take place at Shore Memorial Hospital’s Nick Rajacich Health Education Center (219 S. Washington Street, Easton, MD).
Tuohy comments will focus on the broad array of support services provided by the IMF to individuals with multiple myeloma, a bone marrow and blood cancer, and their families, friends, and health care providers. She also will provide updates on recent IMF initiatives.
The Chesapeake Multiple Myeloma Network (CMMN) is an informal eastern-shore group of individuals affected by multiple myeloma. Its mission is “to provide ongoing resources of information, support, shared experiences, and hope for persons with multiple myeloma, their families, and friends.” CMMN’s meetings last about an hour and a half.
